Prayer Shawl Ministry

 What we do

Trinity’s Prayer Shawl Ministry contiues to console, warm, congratulate, offer thanks, and say ‘farewell’ to folks of our congregation and beyond.

Many busy beavers, with knitting needles or crochet hooks and yarn, make shawls. The shawls are gathered together and blessed at one of our weekly services. The shawls are then distributed to those in need of a special reminder of God’s caring love for us.

How to get involved

Our crafters work on their own and, for the most part, provide their own needles and yarn. Some patterns are available to those needing a starting point.

We welcome new volunteers and requests for shawls. Requests for shawls can be made through the church office. Those requesting a shawl are asked to leave their name(s) and those of the recipient(s).
